  • First Image

The idea of FaceBook Pro originally comes from some unfortunate incidents happened in real life: Someone is venting about the strategy of his company but forget to keep it private; someone is complaining about the work but post it to the wrong people. FaceBook Pro aims to provide a new design of SNS interface and the interactive process to help people enjoy the facility of social networking without the risk of impairing their career.

I took the original Facebook design as a study example and created the artifact model. In the model many key aspects regarding the specific context of this project are identified.

This gathering data process also helps walk through the entire work flow of the operation, underlying information are identified and analyzed.

In addition to that, FaceBook Pro tries to improve the cohesiveness within the group and team-work efficiency by enabling users observe and interpret more about the colleagues they work with everyday.

  • Fourth Image

In the physical model, a real life environment is visioned and simulated. The value of this model is unique: because we are targeting professionals as users, the place where the user interactions taking place are usually the office or cube, hence it's important to recogonize what should be paid attention to.

  • Fifth Image

Communciation typically has two different types: one is 1-1 individual chat and another one is group discussion. The mockup is provided and in order to respect the established habit of using facebook, both of these two sections receives a lot of component from the original design.

  • Seventh Image

One of the photos about how I conduct this User Experience Research project, it is always important to be able to translate the abstract idea to concrete media, and then reflected it to the real web space, also comparing the new design with the original prototype.
